How to Fix “This PC Can’t Run Windows 11” Error – Bypass Secure Boot and TPM 2.0


Trying to upgrade to Windows 11 but seeing the message: “This PC can’t run Windows 11”? Don’t worry – you’re not alone. Many users get this error because their system fails to meet the requirements for Secure Boot or TPM 2.0.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to fix or bypass these limitations so you can successfully install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware.

✅ Why Am I Getting This Error?

  • TPM 2.0 is not enabled or not available.
  • Secure Boot is disabled or unsupported.
  • Old BIOS (Legacy Boot mode instead of UEFI).

🔧 How to Fix or Bypass the Error

1. Enable TPM and Secure Boot

  1. Restart your PC and enter the BIOS (usually by pressing Del or F2).
  2. Find TPM settings – enable “TPM 2.0” or “PTT”.
  3. Go to Boot settings and enable Secure Boot.
  4. Save and exit BIOS.

2. Use Windows 11 Installation Media with Bypass

If your PC still doesn't meet the requirements, follow these steps:

  1. Download the official Windows 11 ISO.
  2. Create bootable USB with Rufus (choose the option to remove TPM and Secure Boot check).
  3. Boot from USB and install Windows 11 without restrictions.

3. Registry Bypass Method (Advanced Users)

  1. During setup, press Shift + F10 to open Command Prompt.
  2. Type regedit and press Enter.
  3. Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup
  4. Right-click on Setup → New → Key → Name it LabConfig
  5. Inside LabConfig, create these two DWORDs:
    • BypassTPMCheck → Set to 1
    • BypassSecureBootCheck → Set to 1
  6. Close Regedit and continue setup.

  • Always back up your data before installing a new OS.
  • Using these methods might prevent future Windows updates or support.
  • Only use official ISO sources to avoid malware.
